These shoes were made for rocking!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! It's been quite a hectic day for me with the kids. I've been trying to finish this post since early morning and I just haven't been able to get away from my "mommy" duties. Which, if I may add, are first before anything! It's been crazy having my oldest home sick today and yes he is actually sick, with some type of stomach bug (so you can imagine the cleaning that has been happening here today) and not faking it. I'm a pro at detecting lying and fake sickness! I must admit I did almost send him to school thinking he was exaggerating. I sure am glad I didn't because I don't think his classmates would have ever looked at him the same! LOL So after picking up the middle one from school and after groceries, post office and some other errands, we're finally all home and calm so I decided to take some time fro myself. I think I deserve it!
I'm sure your wondering why I chose this particular title. Well, I'm completely in love with these shoes and the outfit as a whole! Sometimes as mothers, we lose sight of ourselves and focus only on our family and our duties to our families. But we must remember that we are important as well. Our families need us in many different ways therefore we need to feel good and happy so that we may take care of them to our fullest abilities. And trust me, they will notice when you are happy so show them you feel good about yourself! These shoes are the epitome of girly girl! I truly feel like Cinderella when I put them on! Not to mention they are extremely comfortable! Pumps work for any season and can be worn so many different ways. Invest on your favorites and wear them year round!
Full skirts in any length are a big trend this season. Just make sure not to go too short and be particular when choosing one. Some have some thick textures so they are not as flowing...meaning they can stand up more in the back causing you to play "peak-a-boo". And let's not forget this gorgeous blouse! It's so sweet and romantic! (I sound like I'm talking about a man! LOL) Lace and crochet are beautiful fabrics and can give any look, no matter how casual, a dash of elegance.
I chose to mix some prints with the skirt and the clutch but with something a little simple as to keep the look elegant and classy. Don't be afraid to mix your prints, just make sure to keep it harmonious. They should be prints that compliment each other.
Have a marvelous weekend!

XOXO
Isa

In Living Colors

I don't know about all of you, but I can't believe October starts next week. It's crazy how fast the years are going by. Sometimes we look back and think, where did the time go?! That is why we should always "seize the moment" and tackle whatever project you've been contemplating to begin now before it's too late. Go for it! You never know what the outcome will be until you actually put forth an effort to try. Like the famous quote goes, "Life is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're gonna get." Haha, I had to! Just because it's so true! I never expected my life to have turned out the way it has, and boy do I still have lots of chocolates to open. So go ahead and open yours up today! Don't waste anymore time!
I wanted to do a colorful outfit post to demonstrate how fun it can be playing around with different pieces. This outfit is all about color! And They're all pieces I've had in my closet for quite some time excluding the bag which is a couple months new. Cobalt is a big color trend that has yet to disappear. It is a must have in any girl's closet. Choose a basic piece, like these or these that are both inexpensive under $25. Add an ivory blouse, or a printed blouse if you're more of a rebel like me (LOL), and start throwing on the accessories to accent the colors in the blouse. This includes a bold handbag and a chunky necklace. You can neutralize the look with some nude heels or flats for the everyday errand running mommma! Happy Tuesday!

Xoxo,
Isa

Where's (chic and trendy) Waldo?!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I'm extremely excited the weekend is finally here and I get to relax a little. Weekdays are so hectic for me with the kids that when the weekend comes, I'm drained! I wanted to end this week with something that actually turned out a lot more fun than what it was supposed to be. I've been having a lot of fun lately, playing "dress up" if you will and I've honestly surprised myself with the variation I have in my closet. Sometimes if we take just a little bit of time and actually put some different pieces together, you might surprise yourself with the amount of outfits you can pull off with just a couple of pieces. I'm working on a little compilation of my favorite timeless pieces that almost every girl has in her closet and will be showing you how to style them for "now" events and from season to season. That will be coming up sometime next week or after. So look for that! But in the meantime, while I put all this together, I played around with these coral pants I've had for about 2 years now and this cute little striped crop top I got a couple of weeks ago for 7.95! And the shoes are from Shoedazzles end of summer sale a couple of weeks ago for $15! Total outfit cost including necklace is $53!!! Besides the price, I loved the way the whole outfit came together and notice how I used minimal jewelry. Since the top and pants (even the shoes) were in itself overpowering, less jewelry kept this look classy and still bold and powerful! I played around with my hair as I am still trying to master the fishtail braid so I came up with this messy and tangled look. Not the best but it worked for me and I liked it. As soon as I get that fishtail braid down packed, I will share with you guys.
Oh and let me not forget to explain the Where's Waldo reference. It wasn't supposed to look like that but as my sister snapped away, she made a point to tell me that I looked like Where's Waldo! I looked at myself and thought, Wow, Waldo is a style icon in the dark! LOL I love my Where's Waldo look and hope you guys do too! Happy Shopping and have a great weekend!

XOXO
Isa

Naughty by Floral

After all the rain we had on Monday, I had major cabin fever! So I met my bestie yesterday for brunch and some chit chatting at the mall. I definitely needed some girl time. It's hard to get that sometimes, so whenever we have a chance, I'm all over it! Before I head out in search of costumes for my little monsters, I wanted to share this outfit with you guys.
I know it's still hot, but this sweater is light and airy especially with the tulip open back that gives it a bit of an edge as opposed to a regular ole sweater. One of my favorite colors is this particular cobalt blue because it's so sophisticated and can be paired with so many colors! I chose these floral leggings I got at Target for $8 quite some time ago, for a fun print and added a neon clutch for even more color drama. And the highlight of this outfit...these gorgeous shoes!!! I must tell you, they are amazingly comfortable and oh so chic! The espadrille platform mixed with the sequin heel is genius because it allows you to dress them down or up. The espadrille lets you pair with jeans and a tee for a day look and the sequins lets you shine bright for a night look. I also wanted to mention this double ring set I got from Lulu's. It is currently my "crushing on" item. You can wear them different ways and they're just so cute!
Happy Hump Day and enjoy the rest of your week!

XOXO,
Isa

Beating the heat in style!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I must say, I had planned to head over to Target this morning to check out the new 3.1 Phillip Lim Collection but thanks to this horrible rain, I am stuck inside. Since the nearest Target is about 40 minutes away, it's a bit of a trip and definitely not want to make under heavy rain. Such a big change for me, since I used to have Target literally across the street from my house when I lived in Broward. It was a hard adjustment saying bye bye to Target on an everday basis LOL. I've had lots of withdrawals ever since! But like everything, I adapted! But definitely you must check out the collection, if you haven't done so already.
Last Friday was so hot! It feels like it's never going to cool down! But then again, it never really cools down too much here in South Florida. So I shouldn't be surprised. I know we all want to bust out the Uggs and jackets and scarves, oh my!, LOL But we should've considered living a little bit more up North if we wanted all four seasons. So in the meantime, dress with what you've got! Which is a whole lot of heat!
Maybe you guys are a little tired of seeing this top, but I love it! And quite frankly, regular people wear their tops multiple times LOL. Not that the other ones aren't regular, but I for one, like to enjoy an item of clothing I particularly love as much as possible. So any chance to wear it, I take it! So back to the heat! Since it was in the high 90's, I decided to style my peplum top with these high waisted cut off shorts and olive tone wedges. Since shades of green are a big trend for the fall, I chose these particular wedges to add a touch of fall to my summery cool outfit. I chose this rose gold long necklace to complement the olive tone in the wedges, again giving it a little touch of fall. It also adds a little edge to the girly cuteness of the peplum top. If you want a complete fall look, maybe a little bit further into fall and probably even winter, try some boyfriend jeans, booties, and a leather jacket to make this peplum top completely fall ready! Hmmmmmm...look out for that in the near future on here!

XOXO
Isa

The Skort

What a long day!!! I was finally able to sit for some me time. I honestly thought it would be a lot easier when school started now that 2 out of my 3 boys are in school but it has been a major pain and cuts into my day since one gets out at 1:30pm and the other at 3:30pm. So I basically go back and forth to the school all day long! Oh well, let me stop complaining and embrace my beautiful life!
Now let's talk a little skort talk. I know you're probably thinking, really that again?! Yes, that again! If you haven't had the pleasure of actually meeting her in person, you should! LOL This skort is super comfortable and oh so versatile. There's just an endless abundance of outfit options for all seasons! Did I mention it's affordable and that it comes in various colors?! They actually just brought out some printed ones with their newest collection. So get one, or two or three...heck get them all if you can! LOL Pair it with flats for a comfy out and about look, or wedges or pumps for a chic night out look! I'm telling you, the possibilities are endless! This is a must have piece in every closet.
Today I paired my skort with this printed BCBGMaxAzria blouse I purchased last year. It's soft, cute and cool! And ofcourse my go-to nude T-Strap wedges that I can wear all day and night!
So the moral of this post is, this skort is everything! Happy Shopping!

XOXO,
Isa
